It is your responsibility to have..

A. Completed the Civil War Trust Gettysburg Animated Map...notes for each day.

B. Read thoroughly "Never Call Retreat"

Today: Class Forum...Breakdown the battle...

HOMEWORK FOR MONDAY:  

A.) Watched and taken notes on the Battle of Gettysburg annotated map..CIVIL WAR TRUST...go to the blog link and locate it...take careful notes...DO NOT DRAW ARROWS YET!

B.) Read "Never Call Retreat's Encounter at Gettysburg"....make certain to locate...label in the reading July 1, July 2, and July 3. 

On Monday...we will get in three groups... one for each group and you will organize and prepare a sophisticated explanation to the rest of the class as to the details of the day's battle...when we finish...we will "draw our blue and gray/red arrows"

We will test on the battle next Friday...One-Pager and "Selfie" will be due then...I will get you your face on Monday!

ACADEMIC CATCH UP TOMORROW...

BRING GETTYSBURG READING PACKET FROM YESTERDAY...BRING YOUR NB...AND WE WILL GO UP TO THE LIBRARY AND WORK ON INTERACTIVE BATTLE MAP FROM CIVIL WAR TRUST!

 

Today, Wed. 3/2... we identified the geography features of the Gettysburg battlefield on our maps...then took a tour of the battlefield...we have just gone through Devil's Den...on our way to Little Round Top. Tomorrow we will look at Little Round Top and end up at "The Angle" on Cemetery Ridge.

If you have been gone...we have been taking notes in class and discussing overall strategies of both North and South.  Yesterday we finished "The Entire Civil War" video from The Civil War Trust link on this blog.  If you have not watched it...it is your duty and responsibility to do so.

Tomorrow...we will start on Day 1 of the Battle...You will be given a reading from Bruce Catton's "Never Call Retreat", and will use it with The Civil War Trust Animated Map for the battle.
